MONEY FM 89.3 Art of The Deal: Dividends Stock Hunter
On 27 April 2019, more than 70 participants joined Michelle Martin and Bernard Lim from #PrimeTime at MONEY FM 89.3's third instalment of 'Art of The Deal: Dividends Stock Hunter', held at Bar on 5, Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
Conducted by Value Investing College (VIC) and Buffett Online School, participants were guided on how to analyse the stock market, from a company’s dividend payout ratio, net profit margin, total debt and equity, Governance and Transparency Index to dividend yield.
Using case studies of existing companies’ stock prices, participants were coached on screening and calculating dividends stocks. The session also showcased various simulations of different companies’ stocks, giving the participants a clearer understanding of the market which helped them in choosing stocks suitable for their financial needs.
At the end of the session, participants tabulated their total dividend stocks earned. The top three dividends stock hunters were rewarded with a personal coaching session with Mary Buffett, founder of Buffett Online School, to learn more on dividend investments and a limited edition Buffett Online School merchandise. Three lucky participants also walked away with exclusive MONEY FM 89.3 merchandise.
