Money in the Market: Will global investors continue to dump Chinese stocks?
Global stock markets have been jittery in recent weeks owing to the economic turmoil that is erupting within China.
A Chinese media outlet recently reported that China plans to allow local governments to sell 1.5 trillion yuan ($205.9 billion) of special financing bonds to help 12 regions repay debt.
The report added that the People’s Bank of China may even set up a special purpose vehicle with banks to provide low-cost and long-term liquidity to local government financing vehicles.

Money in the Market: What does the US Fed's latest pause in interest rate hike mean for markets?
The US Federal Reserve announced it would hold its policy rate steady today at the conclusion of its two-day meeting on Wednesday.
It marked first time the US Fed has not raised rates since March 2022, when it launched the first of ten consecutive increases. The target range for the federal funds rate thus stays at 5–5.25%.
