SMRT Trains' Losses Soar to $155m. Is A Fare Hike Inevitable?

SMRT Trains has revealed spiraling losses on the back of high operating costs. Spending on repairs and maintenance accounted for about 71 per cent of rail-fare revenue, up from just 45 per cent three years ago. and so the question is, is a fare hike inevitable?
