As the world's fifth-largest refinery export hub, Singapore is well-positioned to lead the world in the downstream industry. However, changing global dynamics, including Covid-19, have put some pressure on the industry’s standing as a pillar of Singapore’s economy, and challenge its relevance as the world moves towards decarbonisation.
