For those in the know, in the world of vinyl record players, cartridges are the unsung heroes, often referred to as the "needles" or "diamonds" of the setup.
Japanese brand Audio-Technica, maker of vinyl cartridges for 60 years, has recently unveiled its most advanced vinyl cartridge ever, the AT-ART1000X. The direct power stereo moving coil cartridge comes with a price tag that reflects its high-end status. It features hand-wound rectangular coils, and promises "an unparalleled analogue music listening experience."
