Companies to Watch: Can SIA soar as more VTLs take flight?
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore had just recently announced that Singapore will extend the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme to nine more countries in the coming weeks. The update means that Singapore will have VTLs with 11 countries by Nov 15. And this includes previously announced VTLs with Brunei and Germany. Shukor Yusof, Founder, Endau Analytics shares the effectiveness of these VTL flights in bringing SIA some relief after a troubled 19-20 months, and what needs to happen for SIA to make a full recovery.

In The Spotlight: Industry analyst says SIA well positioned despite $4.3 billion loss
SIA reported a $4.3 billion net loss for the year after the Covid-19 pandemic passenger halted passenger traffic and grounded the bulk of its fleet.
If not for a 39 per cent increase in cargo revenue, the top line would have been even worse.
