Viewpoint: How will Malaysia's new king rule?
Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar has ascended the throne as Malaysia's 17th king, starting his five-year term at the head of Malaysia’s unique rotating monarchy. Known as one of the most colourful and outspoken of Malaysia’s sovereigns, Sultan Ibrahim also enjoys a reputation as a hands-on ruler, and has made it known that he intends to make his presence felt in Kuala Lumpur.
