Across the ASEAN: What a COVID-19 Vaccine Might Mean for Philippine Markets
News of the COVID-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech yielding positive results in the initial trials boosted investor sentiment across markets, including in the Philippines, which has some of the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases in the ASEAN region. The vaccine developments, along with an impending Biden Presidency, may be what lifted the PSEi in Manila above 7000 earlier this week, according to RCBC's Head of Treasury and Investments, Rob Ramos. He joined us on Across the ASEAN where he also took stock of the earnings outlook for Philippine companies.
