Why Singapore Slipped from Top Spot In IMD's Global Competitiveness Ranking
Singapore is no longer the world's most competitive economy, falling from 1st to 5th in IMD's World Competitiveness Ranking. Dr Christos Cabolis, Chief Economist and Head of Operations at IMD's World Competitiveness Center, spoke to us on Prime Time about the most recent edition of IMD's World Competitiveness Ranking, what were the major factors that shaped the recent rankings, and whether physical geography really played a part in Singapore slipping down the ranks.

In The Spotlight: Singapore tops Global Smart City Index
Singapore has topped the Smart City Index for the second year running - And the team behind the ranking has said that the smart cities heading the list had handled the Covid-19 pandemic better. This year's rankings took into account how 109 cities tapped technology in a lasting way to manage the Covid-19 outbreak.
