Morning Shot: What's driving China's Best Performing Cities?
The city of Hangzhou in eastern China, with its tech focus has recently emerged as the country’s best performing city while Wuhan in central China also made great strides to land second-best.
That was according to the Milken Institute’s Best Performing Cities China Index, which uses the latest official annual data to assess the economic performance of cities in China that are at or above the prefecture level.
But, while some benefit from the nation’s tech push, China’s property struggles and US sanctions have significantly affected some of its cities.
