Amid the possible growth of Covid-19 Omicron subvariant waves, Singapore still determines not to go back to the strict Covid-19 safety measures. It is believed that the country has been on the fine track since the ease of Covid-19 restrictions.

SG Extra: New Covid-19 wave may reach Singapore next month
According to Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, Singapore might experience a Covid-19 wave soon. At his ministry's annual work plan seminar yesterday, Mr Ong said that the next wave could reach Singapore in a “matter of months, maybe July, maybe August”.

What you need to know about phase three in Singapore
Singapore will enter phase three of its reopening in two weeks, on December 28th. The permitted group size for social gatherings will go up from five to eight, with capacity limits at attractions, malls and places of worship also set to be increased. Phase 3 in Singapore: What can you expect?
Singapore could enter the third phase of its reopening by the end of the year, provided that community cases remain low as the country steps up Covid-19 testing and contact tracing. As part of phase 3, the multi-ministry task force said the permitted size of gatherings outside homes could be increased from five people to eight. Similarly, households could be allowed to have up to eight visitors at a time, enabling larger families to congregate.
