Morning Shot: A Retired FBI Special Agent's take on what investigators might be looking into in search of motives behind Trump assassination attempt
The US homeland security has announced a panel to conduct an independent review into security failures after a gunman wounded former President Donald Trump at his weekend rally in Pennsylvania.
Since the incident, the FBI has conducted more than 100 interviews, searched the suspect's home and vehicle, cracked into his cellphone, and retrieved a drone.
Multiple investigations are underway as the FBI leads the investigation into the assassination attempt.
