Weekly Wrap: Is food poisoning becoming increasingly common?
Authorities are investigating a mass food poisoning incident that has affected more than 100 people at the Chinese tech giant Bytedance’s Singapore office. This is the second major food poisoning incident within a fortnight in Singapore, and elsewhere, news out of Japan and Malaysia too have reported mass food poisoning cases.
Is food poisoning increasingly becoming more prevalent? What are the common culprits that are likely to cause such incidents? Covid-19 vaccines and symptoms for children

With a strike of Omicron sub-variants, Covid-19 pandemic is not expected to go away anytime soon
Omicron sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 occupied 50-percent of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore last Tuesday. On Wednesday, the number of infected individuals tripled. WHO is giving out warnings that this pandemic is not expected to end anytime soon in the near future.

Health Suites: Importance of vaccines to protect against disease that infected Justin Bieber
On Health Suites, Justin Bieber’s recent experience with Ramsay Hunt syndrome has thrown light on the importance of protection against shingles and herpes zoster virus. Shingles, also known as Herpes Zoster, is a painful disease caused by the reactivation of the same virus that causes chickenpox that can affect up to 1 in 3 people. Additionally, the risk of shingles can be elevated for up to six months after a COVID-19 diagnosis.
