Dual key apartment units are usually associated with private property like condominiums. But recently you might have come across news articles in The Straits Times and The Business times about HDB flats being turned into dual-unit homes as this concept has crept into the HDB space! Is this more common than we know of? What are the regulations exactly? What are the implications?

In the two months since HDB's new resale flat listing service was launched, about 50 HDB listings were removed by regulators, mostly because they were priced at $1million or more and so considered unrealistic.
