Morning Shot: Pesky Pigeons: Why the issue is more a human one
If you live in the Ang Mo Kio, Bishan-Toa Payoh and Tanjong Pagar housing estates, pigeon sightings are probably common. And in some cases - more common than some might like.
From now till December, authorities will be stepping up measures to manage pigeon populations in these areas. Under a pilot initiative, the town councils managing these estates will be involved in the culling of these birds, among other measures, as part of efforts to reduce their populations.
On this episode of Morning Shot, Anbarasi Boopal, Co-CEO for Advocacy at Animal Concerns Research & Education Society shares her insights on this pesky problem.
