A new book from the Straits Times Press ensures that children in Singapore don’t forget Inuka - the first polar bear born in the tropics on 26 December 1990. ‘The One And Only Inuka’ is a heartwarming picture book which celebrates the life of an iconic animal who died last year; Inuka was by then well into his seventh decade in polar bear years. Author of the book Alan John and illustrator Quek Hong Shin shares their thoughts on the polar bear and on the book.
