After weeks of fighting for his political life - insisting he wasn’t going anywhere following a disastrous debate performance - US President Joe Biden announced his exit from the 2024 US Presidential race, and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.
A full day after the surprise development just days before the big day in November - no credible challenger has emerged, and Harris is marching to the Democratic nomination as broad swaths of the party - including potential rivals, lawmakers, governors, influential labour and advocacy groups and more - line up behind her bid to take on Donald Trump.
