Singapore shares opened the day weaker after global markets closed mostly lower.
In early trade, the Straits Times Index headed down 0.5 per cent to 3,191.96 points, after 54.9 securities changed hands in the broader market.

They range from Meta Platforms considering paid ad-free subscription for users in Europe to the Biden administration warning Beijing of its plans to update export curbs as early as this month.
