Why It Matters: The consequences of data loss
Would you believe that 1 percent of users are responsible for 88 percent of data loss events? The latest findings from Proofpoint’s inaugural Data Loss Landscape report found an overwhelming 4 out of 5 organisations in Singapore experienced data loss in 2023.
The report also found that GenAI was also found to be the fastest growing area of concern. Tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and even Grammarly are so prevalent that more users are inputting sensitive data into these applications.

Why It Matters: Why Can't We Stop Concert Ticket Scams in Singapore?
When Coldplay’s concert tickets first went on sale in June, tickets for all six days in Singapore were sold out. While fans might be rejoicing with more tickets going on sale this month, the overwhelming demand also set the stage for exploitation.
Since January 2023, at least 522 victims have fallen prey to concert ticket scams in Singapore, with total losses amounting to at least $518,000.
