Sustainable Singapore: World's first hotel aquaponics garden in Singapore
Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford are the first in the world to officially have an urban aquaponics garden within a hotel. It launched in November last year, and since then they have won the Climate Action Category at the HICAP Sustainable Hotel Awards 2020 for it. Marcus Hanna, General Manager, Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford shares the process of growing with aquaponics and how it reduces the hotel's carbon footprint and plastic usage.
