Bosses spend over half a day per week managing under-performing employees
Enhancing productivity has always been essential to profitability in Singapore’s fast-paced business environment. As such organisations are increasing scrutiny on human capital performance to achieve maximum potential. Yet, new research from specialised recruiter Robert Half reveals that Singapore business leaders are devoting over half a day per week to managing underperforming employees and that only 4 per cent feel they do not have poorly performing employees in their team. This represents a major source of lost value and productivity to Singaporean businesses. With employee underperformance risking a series of financial and non-financial costs to businesses, how challenging is it to identify areas of improvement and implement measures early on to minimise these costs? We speak to Matthieu Imbert-Bouchard, Managing Director at Robert Half, which specialises in providing professional recruitment and employment services in Singapore.
