Mind Your Business: The inner workings of Co-ops, which are regulated social enterprises that exist to do well and do good
They’re regulated social enterprises that exist to do well and do good. For eg, NTUC Foodfare is a co-operative aimed at offering quality cooked food and beverages at affordable prices. And credit co-ops encourage thrift by accepting deposits from members and assisting members with loans on reasonable terms and lower interest rates. Chairman of AUPE credit co-op, Yeo Chun Fing  is also the 2nd Deputy Chairman, Singapore National Co-operative Federation.
