Women make up 51 per cent of the population, yet they are a "minority" on stage. In 2016, Bloomberg reported that male speakers and male panels still dominate conferences in the US at a ratio of 2:1, and this has not changed over the years are men still make up 68 per cent of event speakers. Even in a women-dominated industry like education, only 40 per cent of women stand on stage during education conferences. Aurelie Saada, President of PrimeTime Business and Professional Women’s Association and Mette Johansson, Chair of Keynote Women Speakers share more about their non-profit association targetted at supporting female speakers with purpose.
